The team (Caposse) is a group of backcountry mentors that have three very important things in common:
A Capow! guide’s approach is more than “I lead, you follow,” instead, they inspire and educate steps through the PROcess of decision making and how it applies to the real mountain environment. They are backcountry mentors that lead by setting an example, stimulate the conversation and tailor to their guests desires for higher learning and experiences. They say as long as you can read, then you can cook… just follow the recipe! How then should the saying go if you have your own cookbook? That’s a whole level of legit that we’re so enthused to have Tara bring to the team. Having worked at the highest end backcountry lodges, Tara’s experience and enthusiasm is found in her book Peak Cuisine – an adventure in mountain-inspired cooking.
Tara wishes her life was a constant dinner party. This excitement is evident when you first meet her. Her laugh echoes cheer throughout the mountains. When Tara isn’t cooking up something great she works as an editor. Best you be punctual for dinner.
