BOOKING ANNOUNCEMENT: The Blanket Glacier Chalet is fully booked for the 26/27 season in Dec/Jan/Feb/March with full lodge bookings. Single or small group inquiries will be added to our waitlist and contacted on a rolling basis should there be any openings. If you are inquiring about the Blanket, please reach out with how many spots you are looking to fill and you will be added to the list.

CAPOW Guiding Inc. — Booking & Cancellation Policy | 26/27 operational season

By making a booking with CAPOW Guiding Inc. (“CAPOW”), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms and conditions.

Blanket Glacier Chalet (BGC) – Booking Options

Option 1 — Individual Spots (14 Guests)

Price: $2,698 + tax per person
(Increases to $2,775 for any unpaid balances after October 1)

How it Works

  • Groups confirm intent to return within two weeks of invitation.

  • 14-person minimum.

  • Each guest must submit their deposit by May 1.

  • After May 1, CAPOW reserves the right to fill any spots without deposits.

  • Each guest pays their own deposit and remaining balance.

  • All deposits are non-refundable. Guests who can no longer attend may find a replacement guest, subject to CAPOW approval.

  • Balance reminder emails begin September 1.

  • Final individual payments are due October 1.

  • Any unpaid balances after October 1 increase to $2,775.

  • If a balance remains unpaid by November 1, the trip leader may find a replacement guest, or CAPOW reserves the right to fill the spot.

Best For

  • Groups unsure they will reach 14 guests.

  • Groups who prefer individual payments rather than one consolidated payment.

Option 2 — Private Lodge (Exclusive Use)

Flat Price: $37,800 + tax

How it Works

  • Groups confirm intent to return within two weeks of invitation.

  • Trip leader submits a 20% deposit (~$7,560) by May 1.

  • Trip leaders may pay in installments, but all funds need to be received by CAPOW by October 1.

  • Reminder emails begin September 1.

  • Trip leader collects funds and submits one group payment.

Best For

  • Groups who want guaranteed private lodge use.

  • Trip leaders who prefer managing a single consolidated payment.

Day Guiding & AST Courses — Payment Terms

  • A 20% non-refundable deposit is required at time of booking.

  • Remaining balance is due 90 days prior to the trip start date.

  • If full payment is not received by the deadline, CAPOW may cancel the booking and retain all funds paid.

  • For day guiding, an additional $25 per person applies for any participants beyond four.

  • AST course registrations may be transferred to another course within the same season if space is available.

  • No refunds are provided for AST courses.

CAPOW House — Booking & Payment Terms

Full House Bookings

  • 50% deposit due at booking.

  • Remaining balance due 60 days prior to check-in.

  • Cancellations prior to 60 days: full refund minus 10% admin fee.

  • Cancellations within 60 days: no refunds.

Single Room Bookings

  • 100% payment due at booking.

  • Cancellations prior to 30 days: full refund minus 10% admin fee.

  • Cancellations within 30 days: no refunds.

Waiver & Participation Requirements

All participants must:

  • Review and agree to the CAPOW Waiver and booking terms before making any payment.

  • Sign the waiver digitally prior to their trip.

  • Sign the waiver in person before participating in any activities.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Guest-Initiated Cancellations

90 days or more prior to trip start

  • Refund of payments made, excluding any non-refundable deposit.

Within 90 days of trip start

  • No refunds.

  • Guests may find a replacement participant, subject to CAPOW and/or group approval.

Operator-Initiated Changes or Cancellations

If CAPOW is unable to operate a program due to events beyond our control (including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, border closures, or government restrictions):

  • Refund issued minus any non-refundable deposit.

If a guide becomes unavailable due to illness or injury and a replacement cannot be found:

  • Full refund or

  • 100% booking credit toward a future CAPOW trip within the same season, subject to availability.

General Terms & Conditions

  • Participation in all programs is at the sole discretion of CAPOW and its trip leaders.

  • CAPOW reserves the right to cancel any reservation at any time. Booking credits may be offered at CAPOW’s discretion.

  • Participants must disclose any medical conditions that could affect safety. Medical clearance may be required.

  • CAPOW does not provide refunds for:

    • Weather or snow conditions

    • Personal or family emergencies

    • Border crossing issues

    • Illness or injury

  • CAPOW is not responsible for travel disruptions, delays, or associated expenses.

  • CAPOW assumes no responsibility for the actions or omissions of third-party providers.

Trip Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing trip cancellation/interruption and medical insurance. Coverage is available for both Canadians and international travelers. For quotes and options, we suggest contacting Acera Travel Insurance.
